The upper layer of the Breasley Flexcell 500 mattress is 5cm of PREMIUM grade Visco-Elastic foam supported by a foundation layer of British made Reflex foam to give a supportive comfortable nights sleep. The total depth of the Breasley Flexcell 500 mattress is 20cm which is an ideal depth, not so thin as to look shallow and not so deep that it will cause problems with bedding. Visco-Elastic or Memory foam does not remember the shape of your body as some people think but "remembers" the shape of the mattress so that you can be assured it will always come back to shape. The way the Visco Elastic memory foam benefits you is that it melds to your body giving total support, in a way that a sprung mattress never can, and because it has no springs the Breasley Flexcell range of mattresses to do not press back aaginst your body causing discomfort and pain. The main benefit though of this foam is that it responds to the heat generated by pressure points by softening and acting in a gel like way which helps people who suffer from ailments such as Arthritis, Sciatica and Bed Sores, also because of the lack of pressure points your blood can flow much more naturally and healthily. There are two covers available for the Breasly Flexcell 500 mattress, the removable quilted cover which is hypoallergenic, anti-microbial and fungostatic and makes the Flexcell 500 feel slightly firmer or you could go for the removeable Coolmax cover which is a sports fabric designed to wick away perspiration more quickly than other fabrics which aids cooling.
